ESearch Research Guide: ESearch-Edison State Library

This guide will demonstrate how to use Edison State Library ESearch and how to access the resources.

Edison State Library uses ESearch for academic research. ESearch is a tool that finds books, ebooks, articles, journals, videos and more all through one search.

ESearch can be used to

  • Search for books, DVDs, journals, ebooks, articles, videos and much more
  • Renew items checked out on library account
  • Create and save research lists

ESearch search options

  • Search Everything-This is the broadest search, as it searches everything. 
  • Books-Narrow the search to only books, which can be physical copies or ebooks.
  • Articles-Locate articles that can be accessed immediately or shared electronically.
  • Video/Film-Narrow the search to locate only video or film resources. 

ESearch searches almost everything that is available to students and staff through Edison State Library.
